1. Booking & Deposit
Most bookings require no deposit — reserve your scooter now and pay upon delivery. Group bookings of 3 or more motorbikes require a 30% down payment to secure the reservation. During Bali’s high season, we may request an early deposit or additional details to guarantee availability.
2. Rental Requirements
The renter must hold a valid International Driving Permit (IDP) or Indonesian SIM C, along with a passport or original ID as verification during the rental period.
3. Rental Period
The minimum rental period is 2 days (48 hours). Late returns are charged Rp 20,000 per hour; returns more than 5 hours late are billed as a full extra day.
4. Insurance (TLO)
Every rental includes Total Loss Only (TLO) insurance, which applies once damage or loss exceeds roughly 75% of the bike’s value. Normal wear and tear — light scuffs, small chips, everyday usage marks — is standard use and is never charged. Insurance claims require the original keys, a valid driving license/IDP, and a police report in the case of an accident or theft.
If the TLO threshold is reached, the renter is responsible for the deductible below:
- Xmax: IDR 5,500,000
- Nmax ABS / Turbo: IDR 2,000,000
- Lexi: IDR 2,000,000
Additional fees — Lost Key: IDR 1,000,000. Lost Helmet: IDR 300,000.
5. Usage Restrictions
The motorbike must not be used for racing, off-roading, or crossing to islands other than Bali without prior written consent from DC Rental Bali.
